BACKGROUND

Essure is a permanent birth control procedure that works with your body to prevent pregnancy. A soft, flexible insert is placed into each of your fallopian tubes – over 3 months a barrier forms around the inserts.

Injuries: Unintended pregnancy, including ectopic pregnancy, pelvic pain, migration of Essure inserts through the fallopian tubes into the lower abdomen and pelvis, obesity, perforation (puncturing) of the uterus/fallopian tubes, rash and itching associated with possible nickel allergy, joint pain, fatigue, and other autoimmune disease symptoms.
