BACKGROUND

AstraZeneca’s Nexium is a pill used to treat acid reflux, ulcers, and other stomach and esophagus problems by decreasing the amount of acid the stomach produces. There are several serious side effects to the use of this drug, such as bone fractures, kidney disease, renal failure and heart damage.Due to these serious effects, AstraZeneca has been attacked with hundreds of lawsuits.
